If you were to make a list of the things that you are less likely to find in a parking lot, an airplane would probably be among them. One viral picture shows that Boeing is actually using its employees’ parking space to accommodate some of its grounded 737 Max jets.

Boeing Has so Many 737 Max Jets Grounded That It Started Using Parking Lots

Boeing 737 Max

The American aircraft manufacturer Boeing is facing a major crisis after two 737 Max 8 aircrafts have crashed, killing 346 people. As it turns out, the company isn’t facing only dealing with a faulty system and a branding crisis, but with a space problem too.

A photo that went viral on social media shows that Boeing has so many grounded 737 Max aircraft that it’s forced to cram its employees’ parking space with undelivered panes.

According to Boeing officials, all this is part of an “inventory management plan.”

The investigation showed that faulty software was the culprit behind the two deadly crashes that occurred in March. The computer would send the plane into a dive after receiving incorrect data that the aircraft was either stalling or was pointed higher than normal.

All 737 Max jets were grounded following the accidents, causing Boeing to lose over $1 billion in the first quarter alone. Storing the planes is also costing the company quite some money as they have to pay $2,000 per month for each jet.
